I had mentioned earlier that I hadn't had my hair cut in over a year. About 13 months, to be exact. It was only about 4 inches above my waist. Tonight I had it all chopped off, up to my shoulders. On one sense, I didn't want to become one of those women who are afraid to cut their hair. And on another, I'm kind of regretting it. But...I was starting to look like my dog who desperately needs to go to the groomer. And I'm really liking the hair not being in my face all the time. And I can say bye bye to the scrunchie.
I ordered promo stuff for Belonging, the book I'll be signing at the Author Fair, which is September 13th. It took me forever, but I think they'll be really nice when they come in. I'm so excited about this event. It will be in the Adirondack Mountains, with other, what they call "Adirondack writers", a local term for those who set their books in the Adirondack Mountains. I suppose, since Belonging is set in Blue Mountain Lake, which is in the Adirondacks, that makes me an "Adirondack Writer". I want to go out and buy something from LL Bean. Seriously, though, I feel like I've always been a part of the region, probably because I've spent so much time there, particularly in the Lake George area. Luuuuv the history.
That's about all for today. 'Til next time, same bat time, same bat channel.
